Rittenhouse Hotel Condominiums

202-210 W Rittenhouse Sq. Philadelphia, PA 19103

Room service, a limo, and front door staff are available at the Rittenhouse condominiums at 210 W. Rittenhouse Square. Rental parking is available, as is valet parking. I love the building- and buyers looking for Grade A location and services find the building inviting. Condominiums that face the square garner a premium and penthouse units have fireplaces and large balconies. Restaurants and bars on-site, and a spa with unlimited services, a salon, barber, fitness center, and indoor pool. Located at 210 W. Rittenhouse Square, “The Rittenhouse” is probably my favorite condo building in town- Don’t tell anyone...but I love “The Rittenhouse.” I remember back in the late 1980s when it was built- and I believe it changed hands a couple of times during construction. It sat on the Square as a vacant shell of a new construction building for a couple of years before GE Capital finally bought and finished the building.

210 W. Rittenhouse is divided up between condos, office space, and hotel rooms. The residences have their separate entrance with a 24-hour doorman. Condominium owners can get services from the other parts of the building, including room service, town car usage, and maid service for an extra fee. I think values in the building are heavily dependent upon whether you face Rittenhouse Square or otherwise, as the views of the Square are fabulous and command a premium. Know that there are a lot of different floor plans at the Rittenhouse Condos- so be careful when comparing two-bedroom units within the building- not all are created equal in terms of size, layout, or demand. All units were built with in-unit washer/dryers, so a buyer needn’t worry if that is a concern.

Rental parking is always available to owners at the Rittenhouse- but no one owns a parking space in the building. The valet service here is tops in town and the staff always friendly and helpful. As a Realtor, I have found the building to be very difficult in terms of gaining access, even when I’m the listing agent. But perhaps that is a good thing in terms of security.

The common areas of the condominium building (hallways) are always 100% clean and well-maintained, and they look very nice as you get off the elevators. The location speaks for itself. A pet-friendly building and I often see the staff walking dogs for the owners. The gym and pool are shared with the hotel guests and not very large, but adequate, in my opinion. I believe if you are looking for a 4-star building- whether you are looking for move-in condition, or are looking to gut the condo and rehab-this building should be considered for the well-heeled. I recently named the building one of my TEN BEST in Center City, and if my other half allowed, we would move into the building tomorrow. The Penthouse units are interesting at 210 W. Rittenhouse Square because they all have oversized balconies and fireplaces, and the views are nothing short of spectacular.
