2200 Arch Street Condos

2200 Arch St. Philadelphia, PA 19103

The first owners moved into this 165 unit Center City loft building on the banks of the Schuylkill River in early 2006. The former Daily News Building sat empty for many years as a blight on The Philadelphia skyline. Thanks to the developer for rehabilitating this historical building into a wonderful condo loft building at an awesome location in Logan square. These condos feature LARGE windows with river or skyline views, open floor plans with gourmet kitchens, generous closets, and garage parking. They sit just a few blocks from the Murano. A few of these Center City condos even have balconies (Penthouse condo units on the 132th floor have really bodacious roof decks!) The condos for sale at 2200 Arch St. in the 19103 zip code area have proven to be great buys as the space in each unit is wonderful! As of May 2018, there is a $300 move-in fee.

We have sold at least six units here in the past five years or so... 2200 Arch Street sat vacant for many years and was developed into condos by Orens Brothers somewhere around 2006. The building was a real shell. Today the condos at 2200 Arch St. are some of the hottest re-selling condos in town. It is tough to find an open floor plan with deeded parking in 19103- And 2200 Arch St. is virtually defined by those characteristics.

A Huge onsite gym, a small deli/grocery store, and every unit has parking. 24-hour doorman- always friendly-some of the best front desk staff in town in terms of helpfulness. The condos are what I call shotgun-style-longer than they are narrow. Many units have one bedroom as a platform that overlooks the living room with a half-wall (limited privacy), and some bedroom/sleep areas are closed off for privacy but have no direct sunlight. But I don’t think either limits values here. Almost all the views are great...and the trains that run RIGHT next to 2200 Arch Street? They are ELECTRIC...so they don’t make any much noise.

Each unit has an individual HVAC system and hot water tank, and most flooring is light oak-colored hardwood. The ceiling height and scale of most rooms is refreshing to see and appreciated by most buyers. There are 16 Penthouse units on the 12th floor that have stunning roof decks, and most offer a hot tub and large spaces to party. The elevators are pretty cool with glass- so you can see the city as you rise to meet it. I think the scale, natural sunlight, and open floorplan all help to make the condos at 2200 Arch St. very appealing, and the proximity to U of Penn doesn’t hurt.

“Oversized windows, high ceilings, and unique urban-style spaces best describe the condos at 2200 Arch St. On-site parking, gym, and food market. Convenient to the University of Penn and the Schuylkill River Jogging Trail. Unique to the 19103 zip code, 2200 Arch St. Condos are a wonderful addition to the Logan Square area!”
