Northern Liberties has become a center for local artists and musicians. Large improvement
and revitalization projects have also been undertaken recently causing a large jump in
property values. The neighborhood has been targeted for revitalization because it is very
close to Center City. A growth in the number and styles of Northern Liberties condos.
From "green" new contemporary condos, to a few new high rise additions, Northern
Liberties has really seen a resurgence in ownership amongst the condo set. Northern
Liberties contains two privately owned but public parks, both established and owned by
non-profits run by the neighbors. One, Orianna Hill Park, is an off-leash dog run; the
other, Liberty Lands, is a 2-acre (8,100 m2) park and playground.Northern Liberties is
served by the Market-Frankford El. The station at Spring Garden is unique for being in the
median of I-95. The elevated line's tracks then break away from the expressway's right-of-way
to tower over Front Street through the neighborhood as it heads north away from Center City.
Northern Liberties is located north of Old City Philly and is bordered by Girard Avenue to
the north; Callowhill Street to the south; North 6th Street to the west; and the Delaware
River to the east (from Callowhill Street to Laurel Street; from Laurel Street to Girard
Avenue the eastern boundary is North Front Street). All condos in Northern Liberties fall
within the 19123 zip code.

During the late 1980s, Mark fell in love with the Philadelphia real estate market. The first condo he
bought for himself was in Old City. Working with bank foreclosures on multi-unit buildings, Mark began
to carve his niche as a condominium specialist. Since that time, Mark has progressed into helping
developers turn apartment buildings into condominium buildings.
Having been inside countless condos in
the Center City real estate area, Mark is intimately familiar with the available properties. Mark prides
himself and impresses others of his vast knowledge of what's trendy and knows which finishes buyers look
for when selecting a home.... so much so that he's been seen on HGTV's What You Get For The Money, CN-8's
Money Matters and was the 2005 winner of Philadelphia Magazine's Kitchen of the Year contest.
