The Essex is a modern condo in Old City, only a few steps from dining, entertainment and nightlife. The Essex Condos feature wood floors throughout and porcelain tile in the kitchens and bathrooms. The Essex Condos at 300 N. 3rd St. - My Experience And Two Cents
The Essex Condos sit on N. 3rd St. between Wood St. and Vine St. A total of 18 condos were developed at the address back in 2008. I remember when the parcel was owned and operated as the offices for a local bank. The developer mixed the southern portion of the building (existing part) and built the northern part of the parcel from the ground up. What I find interesting is that very few of the condos at The Essex are the same- there are a variety of floor plans and different sized condos which can fit just about any budget - from really really groovy loft one bedroom condos to very large three bedroom penthouse units. Ranging in size (per public records) from 1166 sq. ft. to 2887 sq. ft. - the range of condos at 300 N. 3rd is really nice! My buyers are always pleasantly surprised at the generous size of the kitchens and baths... not to mention closet space. Almost all units have some kind of outside space and/or parking and the building is pet friendly. Sitting adjacent to some of the largest, open (city- or state-owned), well manicured public green spaces in Old City-which have been somewhat unofficially taken over as dog parks- the location is perfect for dog lovers. I also think most buyers will find that it is far enough away from the noisy part of Old City, but close enough that you can enjoy the area without feeling removed. We don't see a lot of churn (turnover) at The Essex Condos, and resales have proven to be fairly good in terms of value retention. The common areas are kept very nice and clean. I love the Essex for the fit and finish quality of the condos in the building which sits in the 19106 zip code.
I have sold a condo in the building recently and it was nothing short of stunning!
