The Murano Condos

2101 Market St. Philadelphia, PA 19103

You know it when you see it! The towering Murano condominiums at 2101 Market St, in the 19103 zip code, tower a whopping 42 stories tall. Built from the ground up around 2006-2007 and known for offering spectacular views, the Murano offers one, two, and three-bedroom condominiums with a maximum of seven units per floor. A 6th-floor swimming pool along with inside and outside common deck areas are a nice addition. ALL units have parking, a 24-hour concierge, and most units have balconies. The Murano Condominiums are a great option for Center City condominium living! Small storage space is also included in every sale if my memory serves me correctly.

Back in like 2005, when the Murano was announced- sales started with a bang, then slowly faded as the market here in Philadelphia tanked. Then the Murano owner/developer decided to have an auction to help gain some traction with sales- and sold like 40 units in one day. I sold 4 of those units that day. Prices fell 20% from the original sale prices that day, and a new pricing structure was set. No appraiser or buyer was going to value the condos at the original prices.

The Murano is probably one of the most striking modern condo buildings in Philadelphia and is a wonderful addition to our skyline. Some units include parking and additional storage space. One of the largest and nicest amenities floor in town- 6th floor has a pool, large gym, conference area, and outdoor deck- really smashing. The “02” and “03” units are groovy in the fact that they have a large curved glass living room..with mostly floor to ceiling windows. Views are lovely and common areas are always clean and well kept. Almost all the condominiums here have outside space- a small balcony. Proximity to U of Penn and 30th street station is a huge plus at the Murano. Trader Joe’s is about fifty feet outside the front door of 2101 Market Street, and the condos sit about four blocks off Rittenhouse Square. Today, the resale condos at the Murano perform very well and sell fairly quickly once they hit the market.
